Hi there! My name is Tina Sawyer-Hitpas and I am a"Lite Weight"!
What I mean by that...is I am part of a great group of people from "Lite" Hits 104.3 WCZY aimed at helping each other in our struggle to lose some pounds for healthier lifestyles. This is my story.
I have always been overweight. The only time I can remember being a bean-pole was when I was 7 or 8 years old. Now, mind you, I was never considered fat or teased about my weight in my younger years but I always felt bigger and stockier than my friends. There was only one time in my life that I felt "in shape" and proud of my appearance and that was 5 years ago.
After the birth of my first child in 1999, I gained 50 pounds and had a really hard time getting rid of it. My last resort was seeing a hypnotist in 2003. I did that, worked out, ate right and took Trim Spa...which worked! I don't know if the Trim Spa or the hynosis or any single thing contributed to the fat melting away but I'm sure all the factors together made a difference. I saw a change within 2 weeks of my hypnosis session...I was geeked. I lost 30 pounds within 3 months and it just seemed easier to do it that time than in previous years of sweatin' to the oldies or kicking my butt at Jazzercise.
Then, I got pregnant in 2004 and had another child in 2005. I gained the weight back and again am still struggling to lose it. Sorry, no hypnostist in town lately.
BUT, this weight loss competition has come about and I am now READY to commit to a healthier lifestyle. We weighed in for the first time March 10th and our second weigh-in is tonight. I have been working out at least 3 times a week and watching what I eat...according to my scale I am down 6-7 pounds from the last weigh-in. Hope it's the same on their scale! My goal is to lose, when the year is done, 60-80 pounds. I know it sounds lofty but it actually is a healthy weight for my height and frame (I'm 5'9").
I know I'll have my cravings and my spurts of emotional eating sprees but... will never quit! Those are mere bumps on my journey and this journey will continue beyond the year. This is a lifestyle I must adapt to and that will take time. Every step, every day, is a step closer to my goals. Please keep me in your prayers. :)
